Quang Nam Police take preventive measures to ensure security and order during Tet

The Provincial Police Department of Quang Nam on December 16 kicked off an intensive campaign to suppress crimes and ensure public security and order for the 2020 Traditional Lunar New Year Festival (or Tet).

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Ha Lai, Vice Director of the Provincial Police and Head of the Police Investigation Agency under the Provincial Police, warned that political opportunists and hostile forces will increase their activities in the time to come while crimes and criminal offences, counterfeit goods and violations of food hygiene, social order and safety, fires and explosions, and traffic order will become more complex during the upcoming Lunar New Year festival (Tet).

The intensive campaign, which is divided into 2 phases, started in November 15, 2019 and will end on February 14, 2020.

The provincial police forces would focus on detecting and preventing plots and activities of hostile forces, terrorists while protecting activities of leaders of the Party, State in Quang Nam and promptly resolving civil conflicts and denunciations.

Mr. Le Thi Thanh, Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee, urged functional agencies and forces to take measures to prevent and control crimes of all kinds, especially law violations, which often occur during Tet, and actively coordinate with the provincial police forces in implementing plans to ensure public security and order.

He also urged competent agencies to further call on the people to prevent and fight crimes.
