Quang Ninh Police join hands in protecting marine environment

PSNews - Some 100 youths of the Quang Ninh Provincial Police Department in collaboration with the Management Board of Ha Long Bay organized an environmental program in celebration of the World Environment Day with various practical and meaningful activities to raise the public awareness and sense of responsibility in protecting the environment.

The program of the Quang Ninh Police, themed “Protect and improve quality of natural environment”, is part of the national program held annually on the occasion of the World Environment Day.

In the area of fish port (Bach Dang ward) and the Tuan Chau International Tourism Port (Bai Chay ward, Ha Long city), youths of the Provincial Police organized a meeting to spread the theme of this year’s World Environment Day, “Moving towards a plastic-free future”.

The participating police officers handed local people and tourists some 1,000 leaflets disseminating the Law on Environmental Protection, the Law on Food Safety, the Law on Fisheries with the aim of raising the awareness, roles and responsibilities of people in protection of the environment, observance of the regulations on food production and trading, exploitation and protection of aquatic resources.

The young police officers also joined hands in cleaning beaches and streets.

In the time to come, the Provincial Police of Quang Ninh, particularly the youth organization, will further promote their activities to protect the environment and the people’s health to promote the image of the police in the people’s hearts.
