Quang Ninh Provincial Police target to reduce the rate of crimes by 5%

The Provincial Police Department of Quang Ninh on December 28 organized a meeting to review the “National security protection” movement in 2019 and a launch new campaign for 2020.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended the event.

The Provincial Police Department of Quang Ninh was recently honored with the Emulation Flag by the Ministry of Public Security and Certificate of Merit by the Provincial People’s Committee for their achievements in the “National security protection” movement. Additionally, 945 officers and teams under the provincial police were presented with awards by authorities of various levels.

Regarding their working plans for the next year, the Quang Ninh Provincial Police Department will strive to improve the leadership and combat power of Party organizations; enhance the efficiency of professional operations, grasp the situation and provide timely advice for the local Party committees and authorities to implement policies, approaches and plans to ensure security and order in line with socio-economic development.

The Provincial Police Department also strive to take steps to reduce crime rate by 5% compared with 2019.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh recognized and applauded the efforts and achievements of the provincial police in ensuring security and safety, contributing to socio-economic development in the province.

He asked the provincial police to recognize all challenges and threats to national security and public order and security and  have timely solutions to them. He also stressed the need to detect, actively study and analyze non-traditional security challenges and negative impacts of the 4th industrial revolution.

Further, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh requested the Provincial Police Department to improve the efficiency of state management over security and order, particularly the state management over exit and entry of foreigners as well as to pay more attention to training cadres and enhancing emulation movements and promoting outstanding good models.
