Quang Tri locals provide 18,700 pieces of information about crimes and offenses to police

PSNews - A conference, aiming to review 10 years implementing the “All People Protecting National Security” movement (2006-2016), was held by the Quang Tri Provincial Police on May 16.

According to the Quang Tri Provincial Police, in the last 10 years, provincial police forces has well implemented the “All People Protecting National Security” movement and gained various positive results.

Many good models of the “All People Protecting National Security” movement, which have mobilized many local people to participate in, have brought about practical benefits, contributing to ensuring political security, social order and safety and serving socio-economic development of the locality.

With these achievements, in the past 10 years, many individuals and groups of the Quang Tri Provincial Police were rewarded by the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial People Committee.

From 2006 to 2016, Quang Tri province’s people have provided 18,700 valuable pieces of information to the police force, helping handle 2,419 criminal cases, destroy 23 criminal gangs and mobilize 218 suspects to give up themselves to the police.

Relevant forces also successfully mobilized locals to voluntarily submit 126 guns of all kinds, 7,389 bombs, mines, grenades…

With these achievements, in the past 10 years, many individuals and groups of the Quang Tri Provincial Police were rewarded by the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial People Committee.
