Rehabilitation for prisoners should be effectively improved

PSNews - Speaking at the working session, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son praised all outcomes of the Kenh 7 Prison in the recent times. 

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security led a delegation to pay working visit to the Kenh 7 Prison under the Police General Department of Criminal Verdict Execution and Judicial Assistance, located in the three districts of  U Minh Thuong, An Bien and An Minh, Kien Giang province.

Senior Colonel Vo Van Ngon, Correction Supervisor of the Kenh 7 Prison stated that, in 2017, despite many difficulties, the staff of the Kenh 7 Prison has well carried out assigned tasks, contributing to building a strong and developed unit.

The prison’s staff has seriously implemented the Law on Criminal Execution as well as other directions from the MPS, as well as relevant legal documents to enhance education and occupational training for prisoners.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son praised all outcomes of the Kenh 7 Prison in the recent times.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son sincerely thanked local agencies and organizations of Kien Giang at all levels and people of Kien Giang for their supports, creating favorable conditions for the staff of the Kenh 7 Prison to accomplish their assignments.

He also instructed officers and soldiers of the Kenh 7 Prison to continuously renovate and improve the quality and efficiency in re-educating and rehabilitating prisoners, especially in carrying out policies for prisoners; to focus on preventing and promptly handling prisoners’ negative behaviors and acts of violating laws and regulations in the prison.

“The Directorate Board of the Kenh 7 Prison should promote political and ideological education and take due care of officers and soldiers as well as enhance the movement “For the national security” with practical and meaningful activities,” he emphasized.

Earlier, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son and the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security burnt incense and laid wreaths at the Zone 9 Historical Security Relic in Bac An Minh commune, U Minh Thuong district.
