Religious dignitaries visit Ministry of Public Security

A delegation from the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, led by Permanent Vice Chairman of the Buddhist Sangha Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, and a delegation from the Vietnam Protestant Church (Northern), led by Chief Pastor Bui Van San, respectively paid pre-Tet visits to the Ministry of Public Security, on the afternoon of January 30.

At their separate meetings with leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu and Pastor Bui Van San wished a happy and successful New Year to the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, as well as all public security officers and enlistees, and expressed their wish that the People's Public Security Forces would complete their tasks and achieve more success in ensuring security and order in 2024.

Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu and Pastor Bui Van San also expressed deep gratitude to leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Public Security Forces for their great support for and close coordination with the religious community in general.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang hosted the meeting with the two delegations and thanked the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the Protestant Church of Vietnam (Northern) for their pre-Tet visits, flower baskets and good wishes to the entire People's Public Security Forces.

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang took the chance to send best regards and a peaceful and happy New Year to all monks, nuns, followers of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the Vietnam Protestant Church (Northern).

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed hope that the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha would further promote Buddha’s spirit of "Protecting the country and protecting the people", follow the motto "Dharma - Nation - Socialism" while spreading Buddhist ethics, contributing to building a peaceful and happy society in accordance with national ethics, culture and traditions.

In the meeting with the delegation from the Protestant Church of Vietnam (Northern region), Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang hoped that the Church will continue to contribute to the work of building great national unity and Vietnam as a prosperous and strong country. 

The Deputy Minister also wished that the Church and its followers would continue to strengthen coordination with public security agencies and units at all levels, including the Department of Homeland Security and local police forces, to ensure security in Protestant communities and the Protestant Church of Vietnam (Northern).
