RoK naval ship visits Vietnam’s Danang

PSNews – A Republic of Korea (RoK) naval destroyer, named Moon Mu The Great, with 302 officers and crewmembers on board, docked at Tien Sa Port on September 11, beginning a four-day visit to the central city of Danang.

The RoK military delegation was received by the Navy Zone 3 High Command, the Ministry of National Defense’s Foreign Affairs Department and local military command.

RoK Ambassador to Vietnam Kim Do-hyun, Colonel Ryou Jae-Guen, RoK Defense Attaché to Vietnam, and representatives of the RoK community in Danang also attended the reception.

During their four-day visit in Danang, the RoK military delegation will pay courtesy calls on leaders of the Danang Municipal People’s Committee and the High Command of the Naval Zone 3. They will also visit tourist attractions in Vietnam’s central city.

This is the second visit of a ROK naval ship to Danang. Such a visit aims at strengthening the political trust and deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries in general and between the two navies in particular.

The ship will leave the country on September 14.
