Scientific workshop on the late Senior Lieutenant General Song Hao to kick off

PSNews - The scientific workshop will take place on August 10 under the chair of the Ministry of National Defense, on the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of late Senior Lieutenant General Song Hao (August 20, 1917-2017).

The Department of Education and Communications under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army in collaboration with the Military History Institute of Vietnam and the sub-Commission of Education and Communications of the Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee held a press conference on August 2 to introduce the scientific workshop: “Senior Lieutenant General Song Hao - A loyal communist, an excellent politician and an outstanding military expert of the Vietnam People's Army.

Major General Nguyen Phuong Dien, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Communications chaired the press conference.

The late Senior Lieutenant General Song Hao has experienced many positions in various fields during nearly 70 years of his revolutionary career. He was a member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Discipline Inspection Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, Deputy Minister of Defense and Minister of Wounded Soldiers and Social Affairs (present Ministry of Labor, Wounded Soldiers and Social Affairs).

This workshop aims to objectively evaluate the revolutionary career and the great contributions of Senior Lieutenant General Song Hao to the Vietnamese Revolution and to the development of the Vietnam People's Army.

The scientific workshop will take place on August 10 under the chair of the Ministry of National Defense, on the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of late Senior Lieutenant General Song Hao (August 20, 1917-2017).
