Second contest on fire prevention, fighting and rescue sees many good innovations and solutions

PSNews - The Department of Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue on August 2 launched a contest for innovations in the fields of fire prevention, fighting, search and rescue.

Major General Doan Manh Viet, Director of the Department, said that this is the 2nd contest organized by the Department.

This year’s contest is entitled “Research, scientific and technological application in fire prevention, fighting, search and rescue in the 4th industrial revolution”. All entries have been divided into 4 groups: solutions to fire prevention, solutions to firefighting, solutions to search and rescue, and other solutions.

The contest has drawn much attention from scientists, professors and students at public security education and training institutions, businesses, and public security officers and soldiers. Especially, a 4-grader also sent an initiative to the contest.

The Jury Board said that many products with high applicability offer new solutions and ideas if they are invested in and developed, and that they may effectively support fire prevention, fighting, search and rescue missions.

The results will be announced on August 15 when an international exhibition on fire prevention, firefighting, search and rescue technologies and means and a conference on this field take place in Ho Chi Minh City.
