Security Guard Commander Lieutenant General Tran Hai Quan chaired the meeting, and Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung attended and made a keynote speech.

In 2023, the Security Guard Command has actively advised leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to work on plans to protect security and safety of VIPs and various important documents on security protection.

At the same time, the force closely coordinated with relevant agencies and units to absolutely protect security and safety of senior leaders of the Party and State during their visits to localities in the country and foreign countries as well as of visiting high-ranking international delegations, contributing to the success in implementing the Party and State's foreign policy in 2023.

In 2023, the Security Guard Command also focused on the application of scientific and technological advances to the security guard work, contributing to gradually improving the quality of the force’s work and professionalism.

For the large achievements in 2023, the Security Guard Command was honored with the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces for the 3rd time, while nine officers were rewarded the “Fatherland Protection”, two subunits received the Prime Minister’s Certificates of Merit, and other subunits and officers were presented with various awards by authorities of all levels. Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung praised the security guard force for its achievements and congratulated subunits and officers on their awards in 2023.

Regarding some key tasks in the coming time, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung requested that the Guard Command should focus on implementing Resolution 12 of the Politburo,  building a truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern security guard force.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the Security Guard Command should regularly and continuously raise the quality of training and drills, simulating and practicing various scenarios to improve guard officers’ professional expertise and skills.
