The Ministry of Public Security in collaboration with the Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee organized a conference on the morning of July 19, sharing experience in building a model of the self-managed security team of vanguard workers at enterprises in Binh Duong province and improve the quality and effectiveness in the movement “The whole people protect national security.”

Reports at the conference read that Binh Duong currently has 41 industrial zones and groupings with about 39,000 foreign-invested enterprises and nearly 48,500 domestic enterprises, which employ some 1.2 million workers.

As workers come from many regions, they have different customs and practices, main reasons for conflicts in social relationships. The concentrated industrial and residential areas also create favorable conditions for criminals to commit offences.

In this circumstance, the local police give a top priority to worker security and enterprise security, actively take preventive measures, and build model of the self-managed security team at enterprises.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung highly appreciated the model of the self-managed security team of enterprise workers in Binh Duong, saying that the model had proved to be effective, and that it should be replicated and spread across the country.

He also suggested that local police, where there are many industrial parks, should exchange experiences and learn lessons from Binh Duong province on building the security model.

* On the afternoon of the same day, participants in the conference took a field trip and learn about the the security model of the Apparel Far Eastern Company (Vietnam) in Vsip 1 Industrial Park (Thuan An City) and the security model of Rochdale Spears Co., Ltd in Tan Uyen city.
