Over the past years, guest houses and resorts run by public security units have served thousands of public security officers and soldiers and their relatives who are entitled to refreshment and healthcare policies of the forces.

The hotels and guest houses also serve as venues for various seminars, conferences, and political activities of the Public Security Forces as well as provide accommodation for domestic and foreign delegations attending international events of the forces, the Party, and the State.

However, there have remained various difficulties in the management and operation of public security guest houses and resorts. First, due to their small size and accommodation capacity, public security hotels and guest houses have not yet met increased needs for recreation of public security officers and soldiers during the peak seasons. Second, a number of guest houses and resorts have been downgraded. Lastly, the management and operation of the guest house and resort system have not been effective.

Therefore, it is necessary to comprehensively evaluate the current situation of public security guest houses and resorts and seek short- and long-term solutions to the issues.

At the seminar, delegates discussed solutions to develop the system of public security guest houses and resorts to meet the need of the Public Security Forces for recreation in the 2021 - 2030 period.

Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son emphasized the need for recreation of public security forces as well as the importance of the public security guest house and resort system, saying that the Party, State and Government always have preferential policies for the Public Security Forces even when the country still faces lots of difficulties.

He requested the Steering Committee of the project to collect opinions from all public security agencies and units to complete the draft project after the seminar.
