Senior Indian diplomat visits the Public Security Newspaper

On July 19 afternoon, the Editorial Board of the Public Security Newspaper received Ms. Nina Tshering La, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India in Vietnam. The meeting also saw the participation of representatives from the Foreign Relations Department of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

Ms. Nina Tshering La briefed participants in the meeting on the important achievements obtained by the Indian Government and people in recent years, and expressed her pleasure at positive developments in relations between the two countries in general and cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of India and the MPS of Vietnam in particular.

Ms. Nina Tshering La wished in the coming time, the Public Security Newspaper, as a leading and prestigious press agency of Vietnam, will bridge the two peoples, spread achievements of India to Vietnamese readers, especially young readers.

Nina Tshering La emphasized that her mission to Vietnam is to make the two countries closer and friendlier, and promote mutual understanding.

On behalf of the Public Security Newspaper, Major General Pham Van Mien, Editor-in-Chief thanked the sentiments from the Indian Deputy Chief of Mission and the people of India for Vietnam in general and the Public Security Newspaper in particular.

Major General Pham Van Mien informed the Deputy Chief of Mission about major activities of the newspaper in recent years.

Expressing his admiration for the great achievements that the Government and people of India have attained, Major General Pham Van Mien wished in the future, the Embassy of India will provide official information for and coordinate closely with the Public Security Newspaper in promoting information about India, contributing to strengthening relations between the two countries, as well as to celebrating the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (January 7, 1972 – January 7 2017) and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Strategic Partnership (July 6, 2007 – July 6, 2017) between Vietnam and India.
