Soc Trang police roll out working plan for 2020

The Soc Trang Provincial Police Department held a conference on December 14 to review the provincial police force’s task performance in 2020, and roll out its working plan for 2021.

Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security (MPS) and provincial leaders attended the conference.

Over the past year, the Soc Trang Provincial Police Department deployed forces and launched various campaigns to effectively control crimes. As a result, the provincial police discovered 373 criminal cases including 41 serious cases, arrested 493 involved subjects, prosecuted 179 culprits. Particularly, Soc Trang police forces investigated 114 cases of illegal possession, transportation and sale of narcotics, and arrested 229 suspects.

Additionally, the “All people protect national security” movement was promoted in both width and depth, facilitating political security and social order in the locality.

Addressing at the conference, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi praised the outstanding achievements of the Soc Trang provincial police force in 2020.

He also highlighted the provincial police success in achieving the "dual goal" of COVID-19 prevention and crime control, contributing positively to socio-economic and cultural development in the locality.

In the coming time, the deputy minister asked the local police to focus on ensuring security, traffic safety for the upcoming political events.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi presented the MPS’s emulation flags to 04 police units for their outstanding achievements in 2020.
