Son La provincial police praised for outstanding achievements

The Provincial Police Department of Son La held a meeting on December 22 to review the local police’s performance of tasks in 2020 and roll out new plans for 2021.

The event saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, and Mr. Nguyen Huu Dong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Son La. The meeting was chaired by Senior Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Van, Director of the Provincial Police Department.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh and Mr. Nguyen Huu Dong acknowledged and appreciated the achievements gained by the provincial police in 2020. They asked the provincial police to effectively advised the Party committees and authorities at all levels on policies related to ensuring security and order.

Additionally, the provincial police should take measures to promote the efficiency of State management over security and order, Party and force building work, as well as logistic and technical services. They should apply technological and scientific advances in the police work.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh also urged the provincial police to take measures to ensure security and order for the upcoming National Party Congress, and during the New Year 2021 and the Traditional Tet holiday.

For its outstanding achievements in the “National Security Protection” emulation movement in 2020, the Provincial Police Department of Son La was honored with the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Ministry of Public Security, while 166 subunits and over 1,000 officers of the provincial police were praised by various levels.
