A blood donation festival named “Summer of Kindness” 2017 took place in the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, on June 18.

This activity has been organized by the Hanoi Blood Donation Youth Society, on the occasion of the International Blood Donor Day, with the aim of receiving 2,000 units of blood, to help treat patients  this summer.

This year, the ‘Summer of Kindness” programme saw a special guest from France – Mr. Joseph. He has donated blood 12 times in total, including 3 times in Vietnam.

He shared: "The donor caring service of this programme is very good from donors’ health check-up until the end of blood donation. It has made me feel comfortable."

He also added that blood donation drives in Vietnam or France may be different in terms of procedures, but they share the same meaningful purpose.
