Students of People's Police Academy active in Voluntary Heart 2016

PSNews – Nearly 100 volunteers from the People’s Police Academy on December 3 attended a voluntary festival named “Voluntary Heart 2016”.

The festival, as an important part of the National Volunteer Day, was organized by the National Institute of Hematology & Blood Transfusion in collaboration with the Viet Nam Volunteer Centre, the United Nations Volunteers Program and the Hanoi Youth Blood Donation Mobilization Association in Peace Park, Hanoi city.

Arriving at the festival early, 70 members of the Volunteer Club of the People's Police Academy has brought participants in the voluntary festival many interesting practical activities such as dances and songs.

During the festival, the volunteers from the People’s Police Academy was also very active in donating blood.

Nguyen Manh Hieu, student of the B6D41 class said: “This is my fourth time of donating blood since I joined the Academy’s Volunteer Blood Donation Club. Every time, I hope and think the blood I donate will help people in need”.

According to the organizing committee, the “Voluntary Heart 2016” festival aims to collect about 2,700 units of blood but about 1,100 units of blood have been collected by noon.”

The meaningful activity, reflecting the voluntary community's compassion for needy patients, is being organized nationwide. Many individuals, groups and families across the country have excellently performed in the voluntary blood donation drive.
