PSNews – Thousands of tertiary-level students returned to Hanoi during the last weeken for study after a long break due to the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

A number of universities throughout Hanoi reopened on March 2 after a long break due to the COVID-19.

The entrance gate of the Academy of Journalism and Communications was packed with students on the morning of March 2.

Some universities also carried out body temperature checks on students at the entrance gate.

Hand sanitizer and antiseptic gel was placed by the door of every classrooms and corridors so that the students could wash their hands before classes.

Many universities and colleges had disinfected rooms and other facilitates before March 2, prepared hygiene equipment for students and instructed their teachers and medical workers to handle issues.

Almost all students wore facemasks to prevent infection of Covid-19 on their first day returning to school.

Due to the complicated Covid-19 situation, several universities in Hanoi, such as the Hanoi National University of Civil Engineering, the National Economics University, the Hanoi Law University, and the Academy of Finance, have not yet reopened.
