Surveillance Department reviews task performance in H1

The Department of Surveillance held a meeting on July 1 to review its performance of tasks in the first half of 2021.

Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and addressed the event.

Major General Doan Hung Son, Director of the Department of Surveillance chaired the event.

Reports at the event read, over the past 6 months, the department has completed all given tasks, making contributions to the general achievements of the Public Security Forces in protecting national security and political stability, while creating a secure and safe environment for socio-economic development and diplomatic activities of the country.

For their outstanding achievements at work, 5 teams and 7 officers at the department were honored by the Minister of Public Security, while 40 teams and 149 individuals were honored by the Director of the Surveillance Department.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang recognized and appreciated the department’s efforts and achievements over the past 6 months.

He also asked the department to strictly and effectively implement the directions given by Minister To Lam on foreign intelligence services.

Leaders of the department should draft and carry out plans to fulfil all tasks, facilitating the building of the force in accordance with the Resolutions of the 13th Party National Congress and the 7th Public Security Party Congress.

The department should do its best to overcome all shortcomings, effectively implement working plans and coordinate with relevant units in the building of legal documents, creating a legal corridor for the foreign intelligence surveillance service to accomplish all of their assignments.

They should focus on the force building work and protection of internal political security, seriously follow the work discipline, the deputy minister stressed.

He also suggested the department should have plans to mark the 75th Traditional Day of the People’s Security Forces and the 60th Founding Anniversary of the Surveillance Service.
