Tan Lap Detention Center receives Feat of Arm Order of second class

PSNews-The Tan Lap Detention Center, under General Department 8 (G.D 8) – Ministry of Public Security celebrated its 70th Anniversary and received a Feat of Arm Order of second class.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Bang, Director of the G.D 8, attended the ceremony.

Throughout its 70 years of development, generations of officers, soldiers and workers of the Tan Lap Detention Center, with their spirit of intrigue, courage and creativity, have made great efforts to overcome many difficulties and hardship, united themselves in building and developing the Tan Lap Detention Center, making an important contribution to the whole sector’s management and re-education of prisoners, and ensuring security and order for socio-economic development of the country.

For its outstanding achievements, the Tan Lap Detention Center has been conferred with various noble awards by the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security, local Party committees and authorities.

On behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son commended the achievements and successes of the Tan Lap Detention Center attained in the past 70 years.

In the coming time, in response to the complicated situations of crime and legal violations as well as the enforcement of prison sentences, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son suggested that the Tan Lap Detention Center’s Party Committee and Board of Supervisors should focus on Party building and force building and strengthening the observance of the discipline; while seriously implementing Resolution 4 of the Party Central Committee (Term 12th) and the Political Bureau's Directive No. 05-CT-TW, dated May 15, 2016, as well as other policies and directions issued by the Party, State and the MPS on the criminal justice and judicial assistance.

After the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son and delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Traditional House of the Tan Lap Detention Center.
