Thai Nguyen provincial police hold Party Congress

The Party organization of the Thai Nguyen provincial police organized its 18th Congress for the term of 2020-2025 on August 12 and 13.

The event saw the presence of Major General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

Over the past term, the Party organization of the provincial police advised the Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee on policies and plans to mobilize the concerted strength of the political system to protect national security and maintain social order and safety.

It also directed the provincial police forces to successfully implement the last term Party Congress’s resolution. As a result, the local political security situation was stable, while the Party building and force building gained important outcomes.

Additionally, the Party organization of the provincial police focused on administrative and judicial reforms, coordinated with relevant forces to promote the movement of “All people protect national security”.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai applauded the efforts and achievements gained by the Party organization of the provincial police in the previous term.

They asked the Party organization of Thai Nguyen provincial police to seriously implement guidelines and policies of the Politburo, the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the provincial Party Committee on Party building as well as on ensuring national security and social order, enhancing efficiency of state management of security, order, prevention and combat against crimes and social evils.

In the time ahead, it was requested to direct all local police forces to prevent and combat the COVID-19 pandemic and protect the Party Congresses at all levels and political events.

At the Congress, delegates voted a 23-member Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term and a delegation to attend the 20th Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Congress.
