Thai Nguyen Provincial Police Party Committee convenes 1st Congress

PSNews - The Thai Nguyen Provincial Police Party Committee solemnly held its 1st Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure on July 28, 2025.

Member of the Standing Board of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen attended and delivered a keynote speech at the congress.

The congress also saw the presence of Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee Trinh Viet Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee Pham Hoang Son, and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Dinh Quang Tuyen.

Overview of the congress.

During the 2020–2025 tenure, the Party Committees of the Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan Provincial Police Departments (now consolidated into the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police Department) effectively implemented the resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Party Central Committee, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee on ensuring security and order and building the local-level police forces.

Each of the two provincial police Party committees also proactively advised their respective provincial Party committee, and closely coordinated with relevant agencies, sectors, mass organizations and grassroots-level Party committees and authorities to effectively safeguard national security and ensure social order and safety. Under the leadership of the provincial police Party committee, the local police forces took comprehensive measures to prevent and combat crimes.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen praised the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police Party Committee (including the two former provincial police Party committee) for its outstanding achievements in the previous term.

Regarding its key tasks in the new tenure, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen requested that the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police Party Committee attach greater importance to the work of Party building and the building of the local police force, while enhancing political and ideological education for police officers and enlistees.

The Deputy Minister requested the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police Department to proactively grasp the security and order situation in the new province, and advise local Party committees and authorities to mobilize all relevant forces to join hands with the local police in maintaining security and social order.

He also suggested effectively implementing Resolution No. 12-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the building of truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces to meet the task requirements in the new situation.

At the congress, the Organizing Committee announced the decision of the Standing Board of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee on the appointment of the Executive Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term, which consisted of 23 members.
