Thanh Hoa police deploy full-time police officers to commune-level posts

PSNews - The Thanh Hoa ProvincialPeople's Committee on November 1 held a conference to realized the first phase of a project of deploying professional police officers to communal police posts in the province.

Major General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Xung, Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee co-chaired the conference.

The project, divided into two phases, was approved by the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on October 25, 2019. Accordingly, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police will deploy 575 officers to 109 police posts in the province’s communes and townships. 

In the first phase starting from January to October 2019, 253 police officers were deployed to 60 communal-level police posts. The second phase is expected to be completed before November 25, 2019 with 322 professional officers deployed to the 49 remaining local communal-level posts.

At the event, Major General Nguyen Hai Trung, Director of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department briefed the delegates on the basic contents of the project as well as handed the appointment decisions to 253 professionalpolice officers and soldiers ofthe first phase. Under the decisions, 122 officers will take the positions of chief or deputy chief of communal police posts.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Xung urged the Thanh Hoa provincial police to collaborate with relevant agencies and units at all levels to widely disseminate contents of the project to officers, Party members and local people while creating good conditions for newly-posted officers to work and live in the communes or townships. He ordered the newly officers to officially start their work at the new posts before November 11.
