ThanhHoa Police take drastic measures to prevent unlawful demonstrations

PSNews - The ThanhHoa Provincial Police held a conference on June 12 to roll out a plan to respond to possible unlawful demonstrations. Major General Trinh Xuyen, Director of the ThanhHoa Provincial Police Department chaired the conference.

Since the National Assembly discussed the Draft Law on Special Economic and Administrative Zone and the Draft Law on Cybersecurity, many domestic reactionaries and overseas hostile forces have took the advantage of the internet to call on people to participate in unlawful demostrations, undermining social order and security in some localities across the country.

In ThanhHoa province, as the local police force actively grasped the situation, promply gave good advice to the provincial leadership, and deployed necessary preventive measures, the social order situation in the province has remained stable. There has been no demostration nor disturbance.

At the conference, after listening to reports from the subordinate units on the local order and security situations and unlawful demostrations in other localities, Major General Trinh Xuyen recognized and praised the efforts of ThanhHoa's police units.

He also underscored that police units in the locality should synchronously deploy professional measures, actively monitor situational developments and quickly resolve remaining issues of local people while avoiding large gatherings, unlawful demostrations as well as extremist acts.
