The General Department of Logistics–Techniques to roll out working program in 2017

PSNews – The General Department of Logistics – Techniques under the Public Security Ministry held a teleconference on December 29th to summarize tasks in 2016 and roll out tasks for 2017. Lieutenant General Bui Van Thanh, Deputy Ministry of Public Security attended the conference. 

In 2016, the Logistics – Techniques force of the Public Security Ministry in general and the General Department of Logistics – Techniques in particular has reached all set targets and fulfilled all assigned tasks, which have been highlighted in the Resolution of the Central Public Security Party Committee and in the Directive of the Minister of Public Security.

The force has been reinforced and developed in a practical manner under the motto “Actively meeting logistic and technical requirements”. The force focused on investing in modern equipment and facilities for key forces, including the forensic and investigation agencies.

With many outstanding results over the year, the General Department of Logistics and Techniques received several awards from the Party, the State, the Government and the Ministry of Public Security.

Addressing the conference, on behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh recognized and praised the General Department of Logistics – Techniques for their large achievements in 2016. He also agreed with contents in the summary report 2016 and directions and missions of the unit for 2017. 

Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh also asked the General Department to continue raising awareness, clearly identify the role of the force, meeting the requirements for public security work and combat readiness in the time ahead. The General Department should promote research and production of specialized products; and plan to develop the security industry in the 2011 – 2020 period with a vision towards 2030.

The General Department of Logistics - Techniques should intensify Party and force building, open training courses on various contents, care for the spirit and health of officers and soldiers.

Infrastructural projects should be effectively implemented in accordance to the task requirements in the current situation. 

All recognized officers and soldiers of the logistic and technical sector had good moral qualities, following the slogan of the Ministry in 2017 "Innovative, Proactive, Disciplined, Responsible and Effective".

At the conference, on behalf of leaders of the Party and the State, Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh handed over the Fatherland Defense Order of first class to Lieutenant General Vu Thuat, Former Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics – Techniques.

Leaders of the Ministry also presented Emulation Flags of the Ministry of Public Security to typical organizations and individuals for their outstanding results.
