The Ministry of Public Security made a preliminary summing-up of the prevention and fight against corruption and waste

PSN- On September 19, in Ha Noi, The Steering Committee for Prevention and Fight Against Corruption and Waste of Ministry of Public Security held a meeting to sum up the prevention and fight against corruption and waste for first 9 months and to implement core missions in the last 3 months of 2016.

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, Head of the Steering Committee for Prevention and Fight against Corruption and Waste of Ministry of Public Security chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were Deputies Minister of Public Security: Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Member of the Party Central Committee; Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee; Lieutenant General Bui Van Thanh and representatives from the Central Committee of Internal Affairs, the Government Inspectorate, members of the Steering Committee and the leaders of General Departments, Departments and units under Ministry of Public Security.

For the first 9 months of 2016, the Central Public Security-Party Committee, Leaders of Ministry of Public Security, Party committees and leaders of local police offices has followed the guidance of the Party, the Government, the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption in order to direct and perform multiple tasks and solutions of the prevention against corruption and waste in police forces.

The prevention and fight against corruption and waste within the police force was reflected in a reduction in the number of complaints against corruption and the number of officers being disciplined for corruption.

Speaking at the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam praised the efforts of the units under Ministry of Public Security in the fight against corruption and waste and noted the comments at the meeting.

Emphasizing the importance of prevention and fight against corruption and waste, the Minister of Public Security requested all units to propose solutions to improve the efficiency of the fight in the future.
