Three Deputy Ministers of Public Security promoted to Senior Lieutenant General

PSNews - Member of the Politburo and President Luong Cuong, Chairman of the National Defence and Security Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, chaired a ceremony to promote three Deputy Ministers of Public Security to the rank of senior lieutenant general from lieutenant general on the morning of June 14, at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi.

At the ceremony, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Office Pham Thanh Ha announced the President’s decisions to promote Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for National Defense, Security and External Relations Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Van Tuyen, and Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long to the rank of Senior Lieutenant General from Lieutenant General.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Luong Cuong congratulated the three senior public security officers on their rank promotion, saying that the promotion reflected the Party, State and people's recognition of their important contributions to the Party, the State and the Public Security Forces, as well as the deep trust placed in them by the Party, State leaders and the people.

The President requested the three newly promoted officers to continue to uphold the glorious tradition of the heroic People's Public Security Forces and cultivate revolutionary ethics, excellently complete their duties, making their part to development of the country in the new era — an era of national rise, prosperity and development.

On behalf of the three newly promoted officers, Senior Lieutenant General Le Tan Toi vowed to be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the people, the Party and the State.

He pledged to uphold and maintain revolutionary qualities, continuously self-study and self-train, and join the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security to lead the building of truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces so as to successfully fulfill the missions of safeguarding national security and ensuring social order and safety entrusted by the Party, the State, the Ministry of Public Security and the people.
