Thua Thien – Hue Police and Laos’ Salavan Security Department sign memorandum of understanding on cooperation

PSNews – The Provincial Police Department of Thua Thien – Hue (Vietnam) and the Security Department of Salavan (Laos) on June 26 signed a memorandum of understanding on security and order cooperation.

At the meeting, Senior Colonel Le Quoc Hung, Director of the Thua Thien – Hue Provincial Police Department and Colonel Phu Van Naxiengkham, Director of the Salavan Security Department discussed various issues related to the economic, cultural, social situations as well as security and order situations in the two provinces in the first half of 2018.

Both sides agreed to promote cooperation in grasping the situations, to provide favorable conditions for police units of the two provinces to exchange information.

Additionally, the two sides would host regular meetings on the rotation basis to discuss situations and share experience in preventing and fighting crimes, especially drug-related crime and human trafficking, supporting the two sides to maintain border security and domestic political security.

The two provincial police chiefs also expressed thanks to the two sides’ police forces and people, and wished that they would contribute to developing the bilateral relations cooperation so as to maintain security and order along the Vietnam-Laos border.
