Thua Thien – Hue Police deploy forces to ensure security for APEC activities

PSNews – The Thua Thien – Hue Provincial Police organized a ceremony on September 20 to launch an intensive campaign to crack down on crimes to ensure security and safety for APEC activities in the province.

Thua Thien – Hue will host a number of activities in the APEC Year 2017, including the APEC High-level Policy Dialogue on Women and the Economy and relevant events from September 26 to 29.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Senior Colonel Le Van Vu, Deputy Director of the Thua Thien – Hue Police Department, asked the local police units at all levels to proactively crack down on crimes of all kinds.

The provincial police agencies and units are also asked to take measures to control traffic accidents, promote checks of any businesses with signs of law violations and deny criminals of all kinds from undermining local security or creating unrest.

On the same day, the Provincial Police of Administration Management for Social Security coordinated with the Center for the Hue Imperial Citadel Conservation in launching a drive to check and restore urban and public order in the tourist attractions in the city.

Meanwhile, the Mobile and Traffic Police Offices of Thua Thien Hue province have increased forces and implemented measures to ensure security, traffic order and safety in preparation for APEC activities to be held in Hue.
