Thua Thien – Hue Police launches sport festival

PSNews – The provincial police force of Thua Thien – Hue on March 26 held the opening of the 7th sport festival 2018, in celebration of the 43rd anniversary of the liberation of the province, 70th anniversary of Uncle Ho sending his 6 teachings to the People’s Public Security Forces, and 73rd Traditional Day of the Public Security Forces (August 19th, 1945).

The event was attended by Mr. Le Truong Luu, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Thanh Ha; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Cao; and other leaders of the province, as well as representatives from agencies and units of the Ministry of Public Security and 961 police officers and soldiers of the ThuaThien – Hue Provincial Police.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Senior Colonel Le Van Vu, Deputy Director of the Thua Thien – Hue Provincial Police emphasized that the provincial police force of Thua Thien – Hue holds the sport festival every five years in the spirit of “Solidarity – Honesty – Loftiness”, with the participation of thousands of local police officers and soldiers.

This year’s festival is the largest the Provincial Police Department has ever organized. It contains various sport events and games, including martial arts, shootings, tug of war, football, table tennis, as well as rescuing people from fire.
