Tra Vinh Police congratulates Khmer people on Chol Chnam Thmay festival

PSNews – Senior Colonel Le Van Viet, Director of the Tra Vinh Provincial Police on April 10 and 11 has visited and extended congratulations to the local Khmer community on the occasion of their traditional New Year festival Chol Chnam Thmay.

During the visit, Senior Colonel Le Van Viet kindly commended and acknowledged the large achievements of the Khmer people in the movement of “All people protecting National Security”, in charitable social activities and in building cultural life of the community, contributing to preventing crimes and social evils.

For their part, Khmer Buddhist monks and nuns expressed delight at the good care of the Tra Vinh’s police forces in protecting local security and maintaining order and safety in the province, bringing favorable conditions for the Khmer people in improving their living standards.

On April 11, Police forces of Ward 9 (Tra Vinh city) has also handed over 70 presents and 7 bicycles to poor Khmer ethnic minority children in the area.
