Tra Vinh police roll out working plan for 2021

The police of Tra Vinh province held a meeting on December 20 to review their task performance in 2020 and roll out their working plan for 2021.

The event saw the presence of Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Mr. Lam Van Han, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Tra Vinh and other delegates.

Senior Colonel Vu Hoai Bac, Director of the Provincial Police Department, briefed the participants in the event on the major outcomes of the 76th National Public Security Congress, key activities and achievements of the provincial police in 2020 and orientations for operations in 2021.

Notably, the Provincial Police Department was honored with the “Emulation Flag” presented by the Ministry of Public Security for its outstanding achievements in 2020.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi applauded the efforts and achievements of the provincial police as well as their contribution to the great achievements of the Party organizations, authorities and people of Tra Vinh in 2020.

He also asked the provincial police to actively identify all threats, challenges and difficulties in the task of ensuring security and order.

They should effectively take professional approaches and make more efforts to ensure security on the designated sea routes as well as political, cultural economic and social security, information security and cyber security.

They should launch intensive campaigns to suppress crimes, especially during the upcoming Traditional Lunar New Year holiday.

Additionally, the provincial police should attach importance to recovering illegally-stored weapons, explosives and combat gears while actively supporting people in natural disaster response and relief.
