Tra Vinh Provincial Police offer free checkups to lonely elderly people

PSNews - The Youth Union Chapter in collaboration with the Women Union Chapter and the Tra Vinh Police Infirmary under the Tra Vinh Provincial Police Department visited and offered free checkups, medicines to lonely elderly people at Hoa Loi Nursing Center, Chau Thanh district, Tra Vinh province.

Currently, the Hoa Loi Nursing Center is home for 35 lonely elderly people. They offer suffer from diseases of digestive system and high blood pressure, etc. 

In order to help them enhance their health, soldiers of the Tra Vinh Provincial Police Department has mobilized the HCMC Ear-Nose & Throat Hospital to offer free checkups and medicines to them.

They also cooked nutritious meals for them with the aim of creating a cozy and friendly environment between public security soldiers and local people.

Earlier, the Women Union Chapter of the Party Work Division under the Tra Vinh Provincial Police Department in association with local authorities to present gifts to poor families in Song Loc commune, Chau Thanh district, Tra Vinh province.

The proceeds were then used to buy rice, instant noodles, and other necessities for 210 poor local people, lonely elderly people and people with disabilities.

The meaningful activity of female officers of the Tra Vinh Provincial Police Department shows their sympathy and social responsibility toward disadvantaged people in the locality.
