Traffic Police Department holds its 10th Party Congress

In the last term, under the leadership of the Public Security Central Party Committee, the Party organization of the Traffic Police Department has overcome all difficulties and successfully fulfilled its political tasks.

The traffic situation in the country has seen positive changes. The number of traffic accidents as the numbers of deaths and injuries all reduced in the past 5 years. Meanwhile, people became more aware of traffic safety, and illegal motor races were under control.

Alongside its main task of maintaining traffic safety, the traffic police force also participated actively and effectively in fighting crimes on traffic routes, especially drug trafficking, thereby contributing to social order and safety.

Speaking at the congress, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc hailed the achievements of the Party organization of the Traffic Police Department in the last term.

He also asked the Party organization to lead the traffic force to further apply new technology in work, and improve the effectiveness of its prevention and combat against crimes on traffic routes.

At the congress, delegates elected the Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term. They also elected a delegation to attend the 7th Public Security Party Congress.
