Traffic Police Department increase patrols in Red River

PSNews - The Department of Traffic Police on November 14 organized a ceremony to launch a campaign to ensure traffic order and safety on waterway routes in the Red River.

Accordingly, from November 18 to December 11, the Department of Traffic Police directs the Waterway Police Armada 1 and the Office for Guidance of Patrol, Control and Prevention of Crime in Inland Waterways in collaboration with the Traffic Police Office of Hanoi and relevant units to implement the plan of the Department to mobilize forces and vehicles to conduct patrols all day, and handle violations on the route from Km 179 to Km 200 of the Red River.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Colonel Do Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of the Traffic Police Department, requested the functional forces to seriously implement the plan while respecting legitimate rights and interests of traffic participants travelling or doing business on the river section, and discovering any shortcomings in the state management of waterway transportation and proposing solutions to the issues.

He also asked all relevant units to focus on disseminating laws and information on the mass media and social networks so that people can understand and seriously observe them. 

Additionally, he underscored the need to resolutely handle violations of the safety regulations that may lead to traffic accidents and social disorder, such as inappropriate license or registry documents, overload and transported goods of unknown origins.
