Of the figure, 125 traffic accidents occurred on the road, killing 73 people and injuring 95 people and two railway incidents killed 03 people.

As working people and students had 4 days off, many chose to return home while some went on trip to different places across the country. As a result, the traffic was so heavy on roads, causing a lot of accidents and bringing additional work to the traffic police.

Foreseeing the complicated road traffic situation in the country, traffic police units had proactively drawn up plans.

During the holidays, the traffic force mobilized forces and means to set up working teams at hot and complicated road sections with a high risk of traffic jams to regulate the traffic, creating favorable conditions for people to travel safely and contributing to minimizing traffic accidents.

During the 4-day holiday, the nationwide traffic police force handled 34,477 traffic violations, fined violated vehicles 71 billion 825 million VND for traffic violations, temporarily impounded 523 cars, 11,987 motorbikes and 120 other vehicles, and temporarily seized 7,166 driving licenses of all kinds.
