Training course for public security freshmen closes

PSNews - The Mobile Police Command (MPC) on April 29 held a ceremony to conclude the training course for newly-enrolled cadets of public security schools in the North.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh Assoc. Prof. Dr., Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and delivered a keynote speech at the event. The ceremony also saw the presence of leaders from various public security academies and universities, trainers and trainees of the course.

Following the success of the first training course held at the Professional Training Center of the MPC in 2020, the second training course aimed to equip first-year cadets with political knowledge and basic martial art skills as well as military regulations.

The course also provided physical training to improve the trainees’ physical fitness as well as teach them about regulations of the Public Security Forces as well as the forces’ history. About 80% of 2,096 students graduated the course with excellent and good results.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh hailed the efforts of the trainers and staff of the MPC and the trainees during the training course. In order to improve the quality of such a training course in the future, he urged the Department of Education and Training and relevant units under the MPS to strengthen inspection as well as advise the MPS leadership on specific plans regarding training courses for first-year public security students while boosting cooperation with the MPC and public security educational institutions in ensuring training equipment and facilities.

In addition, the MPC should coordinate with relevant units to develop an appropriate and effective training program for the training course in the time to come. Deputy Minister also asked the students tomake more efforts and continue practicing the learnt skills when studying at their schools.
