Training course on rescue and natural disaster prevention held for judicial police

PSNews - Organizing such a training course for local police units in general and police units of the Police General Department of Criminal Verdict Execution and Judicial Assistance is outlined in the policy of the ministry.

The General Department of Logistics and Techniques in collaboration with the Police General Department of Criminal Verdict Execution and Judicial Assistance and the Quang Binh Provincial Police held a training course on the use of equipment and devices of rescue and natural disaster prevention on August 22 for over 130 officers and soldiers. 

Senior Colonel Doan Thanh Hien, Head of the Steering Committee for Climate Change Adaptation, Disaster Prevention and Rescue under the Ministry of Public Security stated that, since the beginning of 2017, storms, floods, flash floods, landslides, tornadoes and other natural disasters have caused a huge loss of human and property, leaving 114 dead or missing, and 93 injured. The estimated loss of property reached ~ some VND 5.5 billion. 

To actively respond to natural disasters and promptly conduct rescue missions, each officer or soldier should improve their knowledge and raise their awareness and responsibility for the affairs. They should particularly determine that disaster prevention and rescue as important tasks of the public security forces in the current situation.

Organizing such a training course for local police units in general and police units of the Police General Department of Criminal Verdict Execution and Judicial Assistance is outlined in the policy of the ministry.

At this training course, lecturers will share in-depth knowledge and information about disaster prevention and recue. In addition, trainees will practice assumed scenarios similar to the reality.

He expected that, after the course, the trainees will apply acquired knowledge to effectively implement assigned missions, making contributions to minimizing losses of lives and property caused by natural disasters.
