The General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) organised a ceremony in Hanoi on December 12 to celebrate its 80th founding anniversary (December 22, 1944-2024), with Party General Secretary To Lam, who is also Secretary of the Central Military Commission, attending.

Party General Secretary To Lam has hailed the significant role of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) as the Party's strategic advisory body that directs, guides, and directly implements integrated solutions to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Party-related and political works within the military.

PSNews – Within the framework of the Labor Union Conference of the General Department of Politics (G.D 3), the delegates on April 6 visited the K9 Relic site, located in Ba Vi district, Hanoi, to pay tribute and report their achievements to Uncle Ho.

PSNews - The Southern Youth Union organization of the General Department of Politics under thr Ministry of Public Security from March 16 to 18 in collaboration with the Youth Union chapter of The Ministry of Public Security’s Office held a roots-returning tour for their members to Ca Mau.

PSNews – The Department of Political Work of the General Department of Politics under the Ministry of Public Security held a meeting on March 7 afternoon to review performance of its women union chapter in 2017 and launch the special emulation drive of 2018. 

PSNews – The Trade Union chapter of the General Department of Politics held a conference on January 30 to review the trade union mission performance in 2017 and deploy its plans for 2018. Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, Major General Nguyen Quang Chu, attended the conference. 

PSNews - Over the past 5 years, the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting has received many emulation flags and certificates of merit from the Ministry of Public Security as well as the General Department of Politics.

PSNews - The Youth Union chapter of the General Department of Politics in collaboration with other local police units recently carried out charitable activities in Hoa Binh and Son La with the aim of easing difficulties of mountainous people and needy people in flood-stricken areas.

PSNews - "The Ministry of Public Security is restructuring its apparatus by cutting down the number of officers and workers. Therefore, the organization and personnel work should focus on appointing the right people to the right positions", underscored Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh.

PSNews - In the first 9 months of 2017, the Party Committeesand leaders of public security units of the Emulation Grouping 1 have effectively implemented the force building programme. 

PSNews - Many articles on public security press publications were of high quality and in depth, contributing to spreading instructions of leaders of the Public Security Ministry and the General Department of Politics to the whole force and society.

PSNews - The Memorial Site of Uncle Ho's 6 Teachings to the Public Security Forces contributes to promoting historical and cultural values of Tu Giap pagoda, a national historical and artistic site.

PSNews-The General Department of Politics (G.D 3) organized a meeting to honor and present outstanding young officers “Awards for Best Young Officers of the General Department of Politics.”

PSNews - The delegation of the Women's Union chapter of the General Department of Politics (GDP) has paid homage incense to heroic martyrs and carried out gratitude activities in Con Dao, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

PSNews - Each unit of the GDP well implemented the principles of centralized democracy and self-criticism, renovated leadership style, practiced thrift and administrative reform, and took good care of living standard of officers and soldiers.

PSNews- A news briefing on the 4^th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange 2017 was held by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, under the Ministry of Defense on June 13.

PSNews – The Public Security Academy held a conference on May 11 afternoon to honor excellent students of public security schools in the 2015-2017 period.
