The report of the General Department of Politics stated that all public security press agencies had on time published results of the public security forces in preventing crimes, ensuring national security, social order and safety. In particular, all public security press publications fully reflected public security forces and other forces’ rescue and support activities for recent flash flood victims in the Northwestern provinces;

clearly informed the case of Trinh Xuan Thanh's returning home and giving up himself to the police as well as the Public Security Investigation Agency’s dealing with the case, leaving a positive effect on the fight against corruption.

The public security press agencies promptly popularized directions of the Prime Minister, the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Public Security Ministry on the sector’s affairs, and efficiently reflected the celebration of the 72th Traditional Day of the Public Security Forces as well as the 12th anniversary of All People-Protecting National Security Festival.

Many articles on public security press publications were of high quality and in depth, contributing to spreading instructions of leaders of the Public Security Ministry and the General Department of Politics to the whole force and society.

At the meeting, Major General Pham Van Mien, Editor in Chief of the Public Security Newspaper proposed some measures to improve the quality of public security press activities and wished to cooperate closely with all press agencies inside and outside the public security forces in sharing information and journalism.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Le Van De recognized the achievements of the public security press agencies in covering all aspects of social life, crime prevention and the beautiful image of police officers in the people's heart.

He also requested that, in the coming time, all public security press agencies should maintain and promote their past achievements, fully reflect policies and activities of the Party and the State as well as task performances of the public security forces while paying due attention to domestic and foreign affairs and domestic and international events.

It is also necessary to disseminate activities to celebrate the 72th Traditional Day of the Public Security Forces, the National Independence Day (September 2nd), the 12th anniversary of All People-Protecting National Security Festival, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship and Solidarity Year, the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Year as well as ensuring security and social order for APEC events.

All public security press agencies should maintain the column on the implementation of Resolution 4 of the 12th Party Central Committee on enhancing Party building and reorganization, preventing degradation in political ideology, morality and lifestyle of Party members, as well as rolling back manifestations of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” inside the Party.

At the same time, the public security press agencies should continuously popularize the implementation of Directive No.05 of the Politburo on studying and following the thought, morals and style of President Ho Chi Minh,  as well as the movement "Building image of the brave and humane police officer in the people’s heart".
