Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan presided over the event.
Present at the meeting were representatives of the participating rescue forces of Turkey and 90 countries and territories.
Speaking at the ceremony, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and contributions of Turkish and international relief teams, including the Vietnamese rescue officers.
More than 2,500 delegates, including leaders of ministries and branches of Turkey, representatives of international rescue teams, diplomatic corps, international organizations, and humanitarian organizations.
Some 11,320 people from 90 countries have come and joined local effort in rescue operations after the earthquake.
Reportedly, 66 countries sent rescue forces, and the rest dispatched humanitarian teams.
At the ceremony, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan presented medals to representatives of the rescue and relief teams of countries and handed over the Letters of Thank You from the Turkish Government to the governments of the countries that had assisted Turkey in rescue and relief operations.
