Two policemen in Nam Dan district, Nghe An province promptly donated their blood to save an critically ill man on March 7.

Le Van Canh, a 71-year-old man living in Nam Dan district, was in urgent need of  blood transfusion during his operation at the Nghe An Friendship General Hospital. However, the local blood bank was running out at that time.

Receiving the information, the Youth Union chapter of the Nam Dan District Police Station called on young officers and soldiers to donate blood to save the elderly patient.

Immediately, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Son Ha, an officer of the District Police Station and Lieutenant Ngo Xuan Bach, Deputy Chief of the Hung Tien Communal Police Post, came to the Nghe An Center for Hematology and Blood Transfusion and donated their blood for the operation.

Thanks to their timely blood donation, the old man’s life has been saved, and he is currently recovering well.
