UNMISS Police Commander acknowledges outstanding contributions of Vietnamese police officers

PSNews - Commander of Police at the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) Christine Fossen awarded Certificates of Merit to three Vietnamese police officers in recognization of their outstanding contributions to UN peacekeeping activities, on the morning of April 9 (local time).

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Christen Fossen stated, the three police officers had demonstrated their exemplary roles in implementing their assigned responsibilities and tasks while showing their sense of responsibility, excellent professional expertise and professionalism.

Ms. Christine Fossen said that she was personally very impressed with the Working Group of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in not only doing their duties, but also promoting Vietnam’s traditional culture and the spirit of solidarity when working with international friends.

Ms. Christine said, she always looked forward to attending events organized by the Vietnam Working Group.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Luong Thi Tra Vinh thanked the UNMISS leaders for their good care and support for the Vietnamese police peacekeepers in the past time, saying that the UNMISS Police Command had created favorable conditions and offered lots of opportunities to the Vietnamese police officers in general. 

For their part, the Vietnamese police peacekeepers always strived to achieve more achievements, worthy of the trust of the UNMISS leaders, including Ms. Christine.

Reportedly the three Vietnamese police officers have just ended their term of service at UNMISS. 

On the occasion, international colleagues congratulated the Vietnam Working Group on its successful term of service.
