Video contest "For a Green Vietnam" kicked off

PSNews - The portal of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) in collaboration with the French Development Agency (AFD) on June 29 launched the “For a Green Vietnam” video contest, with the aim of raising people's awareness on protecting our environment and Earth.

The video contest takes place from July 6 to August 6, focusing on six topics: growing trees, preserving biodiversity, preventing plastic waste and using recycled materials, saving electricity and water, coping with climate change, and protecting the land, water, and air environment.

As reported, the competition opens for individuals and groups of people studying, working, and living in Vietnam aged under 35. Entries are to be short clips made with Tiktok software with a maximum length of 60 seconds, featuring solutions, initiatives, and activities that contribute to environmental protection and climate change adaptation.

Entrants can post their clips on Tiktok with the hashtag #vimotVietNamxanh or share them on the fanpage https://facebook.com/vimotvietnamxanh.vn/.

The organizing board will award one first prize, two second, and three third worth VND 10 million (430 USD), VND 5 million, and VND 3 million VND each, respectively. Additionally, there will also be one “Selection” prize, one “Creative” prize, and four consolation prizes, each worth VND 2 million.

The awards ceremony is slated for September in Hanoi.
