Vietnam and Kuwait promote ties

Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam highlighted Vietnam and Kuwait relations’ recent fine developments in politics, diplomacy, economics, trade and investment, culture and society.

The ties between the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam and the KNG have also developed in various fields, particularly in exchange of information.

Minister Lam hoped both sides would promote the bilateral relations and cooperation in the areas of mutual concern. He emphasized that both sides should boost coordination in building a legal framework for long-term cooperation, including memorandum of understandings on cooperation between the two sides for short run and high-level deals on criminal justice for long-run cooperation, such as the Agreement on Extradition and Agreement on Transfer of Sentenced Persons .

In addition, the two sides should strengthen cooperation in exchanging information about international security and information about prevention and combat of transnational crimes while enhancing coordination in addressing non-traditional security issues and cooperation in training professional expertise and foreign languages for personnel of each side.

Mr. Faleh Shuja Alotaibi thanked Minister Lam for his kind reception and vowed to do his best to promote relations between the two countries in general and cooperation between the MPS of Vietnam and the KNG in particular.
