Vietnam ensures safety and security for RoK investors, MPS Deputy Minister

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh expressed his pleasure at drastic developments in the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.

Additionally, the bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) in recent years have been expanded in various fields, including politics, trade, investment, culture and national defense. Especially, in 2009 the two countries agreed to lift the bilateral ties up to a strategic partnership to boost the bilateral relations and contribute to peace and prosperity in Asia. Today, the two nations become strategic partners and sincere friends.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh highly appreciated the large support of the RoK Embassy in Vietnam in strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two nations. In 2016, the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam and its RoK partners, including the Korean National Police, has obtained remarkable achievements.

The Vietnamese Deputy Minister hoped that the Envoy and her colleagues would continue to support the good relationship between the two countries, and create favorable conditions for RoK enterprises to invest more into Vietnam so as to strengthen the connections between the two nations and promote the already-good friendly and cooperative relations of two countries for mutual prosperity and development of Vietnam and RoK.

The MPS of Vietnam pledged to do his utmost to ensure safety and security for the lives of RoK nationals living and working in Vietnam, thereby strengthening mutual trust, traditional friendship between Vietnam and RoK as well as the cooperation between the MPS of Vietnam and the relevant agencies of RoK, making an important contribution to ensuring national security, social order and safety of each country.

On behalf of the leaders of the MPS, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh wished the Ms. Lee Miyon much success in her term of office in Vietnam. He also believed that Vietnam-Korea relations in general as well as the MPS of Vietnam and RoK relevant agencies in particular develop robustly in the future, on a par with the cooperation potentials of the two countries and for the aspirations of the two peoples.

Ms. Lee Miyon sincerely thanked Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh for his reception, and wished the relationship between Vietnam and RoK would continuously develop and reap large fruits in all fields. She affirmed that she would endeavor to contribute to the relationship between the two countries.
