Vietnam honors Russian security leaders

PSNews – The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) cooperated with the Embassy of Vietnam in Russia to organize a ceremony to grant the Friendship Medal to leaders of the Federal Security Bureau of Russia (FSB).

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, and Vietnamese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Nguyen Thanh Son attended the ceremony.

Under the authority of State President Tran Dai Quang, Minister To Lam presented the Friendship Medal, a noble award of the State of Vietnam, to the leaders of the Russian FSB, including Senior Lieutenant General Lovyrev Evgeny Nikolaevich; Lieutenant General Fetisov Andrey Aleksandrovich; Senior Lieutenant General Baseda Sergey Orestovich; Major General Kochkin Aleksander Konstantinovich for their positive and effective contributions to building and strengthening the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the MPS of Vietnam and the Russian FSB.

On behalf of the MPS of Vietnam and all generals, officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People’s Public Security Forces, Minister To Lam conveyed greetings and regards to the leaders of the FSB.

Minister Lam emphasized that, over the last 67 years, the friendly relations between the former Soviet Union and the Russian Federation today with the Vietnam have been cultivated by generations of leaders and people of the two countries. The cooperation between the Public Security Forces of Vietnam and the security forces of Russia has also been maintained and strengthened.

The Vietnam People's Public Security Forces highly appreciated the cooperation and assistance of the Russian Federal Security Forces as well as valuable contributions of leaders of the FSB to the revolutionary cause of the Vietnamese people in general, and the development of the Public Security Forces in particular, Minister Lam said.

Minister Lam affirmed that the traditional and reliable relations between Vietnam and Russia are positively developing while bilateral cooperation between the MPS of Vietnam and the Russian FSB becomes more and more effective with practical outcomes. He confirmed that the Vietnamese Public Security Forces will do their utmost to strengthen and develop the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Russia.

On behalf of the Medal recipients, Senior Lieutenant General Lovyrev Evgeny Nikolaevich thanked leaders of the Party, the State and the MPS of Vietnam for the recognition of their contributions.

He also appreciated the effective cooperation between the MPS of Vietnam and the Russian FSB in ensuring national security of each country. Senior Lieutenant General Lovyrev Evgeny Nikolaevich affirmed that he would continue his efforts to contribute more and more to strengthening and developing cooperation between the FSB and the MPS of Vietnam.
