Vietnam - Indonesia to strengthen cooperation in crime prevention

Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quy Vuong welcomed the delegation of the Indonesian National Police and expressed his congratulation to Mr. Syafruddin on his appointment as Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police on September 26 in Hanoi.

At the meeting, representatives from the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Indonesian National Police will discuss the deployment of documents signed between the two countries in the prevention and fight against crime in order to cooperate more effectively in the near future.

Accordingly, the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Indonesian National Police have been continuously consolidating and developed; the two sides regularly exchange high-level visits, share information of prevention of transnational crime and cooperate to ensure security for citizens and senior leaders in both 2 countries.

Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong stressed, after the visit of the Minister of Public Security To Lam, these results from cooperation between the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security and the Indonesian National Police in prevention and fight against crime has deepened the cooperation in order to ensure the safety and security of each country.

Deputy Minister Vuong also wish the two sides would continue to promote the results of cooperation by exchanging mutual high-level visits to share information and experiences.

Vietnam and Indonesia should hold annual security dialogue, he added.

Mr. Syafruddin, Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police, for his part, affirmed that the Indonesian National Police continually value and desire to strengthen the friendship and collaboration with Minister of Public Security of Vietnam.

He expressed his confidence that, in the future, the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Indonesian National Police will continue to achieve more positive results in order to develop the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Indonesia.
