Vietnam, Israel boost high-tech cooperation

PSNews - Vietnamese Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam received Chairman of the Israeli IMI System Ltd. Yitzhak Aharonovitch on February 22 in Hanoi.

Minister Lam expressed his pleasure at the fine Vietnam-Israel relations, especially in economics-trade, technology-trade, education and training, and agriculture. He also stressed that Vietnam highly values Israel’s military technology development and proposed both sides to cooperate in technology transfer and research and development.

The Vietnamese Minister also stated that in addition to the Ministries of Public Security and National Defense, cooperation between industrial companies and corporations of the two countries in the field of security technology also plays an important role. He expressed his hope that the Chairman the IMI Group Systems will continue to contribute to the promotion of cooperation between the two countries. Vietnam confirms commitment to creating favorable conditions for foreign businesses and investors, including Israel.

Chairman Yitzhak Aharonovitch thanked the host for the kind reception, noting that Israel and IMI always desire to cooperate with Vietnam.

He also stressed that IMI System is always keen on expanding cooperation with Vietnam in the areas of its strength, such as airport security, counter-terrorism and education and training.
