Vietnam, Laos promote bilateral relations

At the meeting, Minister To Lam congratulated Mr. Sengphet Houngboungnuang on his new position and wished him successes during his term of office in Vietnam. The host expressed hope that the newly-posted Lao Ambassador will contribute to promoting the relationship and cooperation between the two countries in general and between the Vietnamese MPS and the law enforcement agencies of Laos in particular.

The Vietnamese official promised that the MPS will create favorable conditions for the ambassador to fulfill his mission, contributing to fostering the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States, and people of the two countries.

Minister To Lam also congratulated the successes of Party congresses at all levels in Laos in preparation for the upcoming National Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party. According to him, of the successes were importantly contributed by the Lao security forces, which had ensure security and absolute safety for the important political events of Laos.

For his part, Ambassador Sengphet Houngboungnuang thanked Minister To Lam for the reception and affirmed that he will promote the special relationship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in general, between the Vietnamese MPS and the Lao Ministry of Security in particular during his term of office in Vietnam.
